There is no charge to register as a Trade Visitor. You will have access to IODS 2024 on all three days of the event with daily inclusions:

• Theatrette Program
• Innovation Awards (Friday 26 July)

It is optional to upgrade your Trade Visitor registration and become a Conference Delegate (incurs a charge at time of registration). In addition to the inclusions above, Conference Delegates will also have access to:

• The Indian Ocean Defence & Security 2024 Conference program (Wednesday 24 – Thursday 25 July)
• Lunch and Afternoon Tea on Conference Days

By registering to attend IODS 2024, you have the option to purchase tickets to the IODS 2024 Defence & Industry Dinner in collaboration with the Better Together Ball (incurs a charge at time of registration).

IODS 2024 is an industry-only trade event. The exposition and conference sessions are reserved for those with a professional, defence, governmental agency, business, academic, scientific, operational or response involvement in related government or industry sectors.

No person under the age of 16 years will be admitted to the industry-only trade and conference sessions of Indian Ocean Defence & Security 2024 and dress code applies.

The event is not open to the general public.

Trade visitors may be asked for evidence of accreditation such as applicable business card, association membership etc. Accreditation must demonstrate involvement in the aforementioned industry sectors.

Photo ID is required as part of the Indian Ocean Defence & Security 2024 Trade Visitor registration process and must be carried at all times while at the event.

The IODS 2024 Defence & Industry Dinner in collaboration with The Better Together Ball 2024 will be held on the evening on Thursday 25 July at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre and is presented by Defence West and AMDA Foundation Limited in collaboration with RSLWA, Legacy WA and Police Legacy WA.

This gala event is an opportunity to network with senior representatives from defence, industry and government while supporting Western Australian veterans and their families.

Experience an evening of gourmet dining, conversation and entertainment all while helping to fundraise for an important cause.

To purchase your tickets: 

1. Select the number of tickets/tables you wish to purchase. 
2. Enter your details. 
3. Complete payment. 
4. Following your purchase, you will receive an email with links to register each of your individual tickets.  
5. Tickets will be sent one week before the event to the email address provided in the ticket registration.

The granting and retention of media accreditation is at the absolute discretion of the organisers, who may decline an application even where all accreditation criteria are met and may withdraw accreditation for unprofessional conduct.

As accredited media at Indian Ocean Defence & Security 2024 you will have access to:

• The media section of the conference venue;
• The industry exhibition;
• Networking events conducted on the exhibition floor;
• The media centre.

You will have access to Indian Ocean Defence & Security at the following times:

Wednesday 24 July: 0800 – 1800
Thursday 25 July: 0800 – 1800
Friday 26 July: 0900 – 1600

How Do I Apply For Media Accreditation?

• Fill in the form below;
• If you are a freelancer, upload a letter of commission from the publication you will be representing at IODS 2024 (letter details below);
• Submit your application.

Process:

1. After submitting your application you will receive an automated email confirming receipt.
2. After your application has been considered, you will receive an automated email confirming approval or denial of your media accreditation application.
3. Those who are accredited will receive a Print At Home badge to their nominated email address around two weeks before the event.
4. Media should bring the printed badge on day one of the event to receive a lanyard and clear plastic pocket in which to insert the badge.
