Event Overview

The Avalon Australian International Airshow 2027 (Avalon 2027) will present a series of industry-only, trade and conference sessions across the first four days of the event, reserved for those with a professional, defence, governmental agency, business, academic, scientific, operational or response involvement in aviation, aerospace and defence related government and industry sectors.

A ticket fee of $98 per person, per day is applicable.

Trade Visitor Registration

Register as a Trade Visitor to:

  • Purchase Trade Day tickets (TRADE DAY TICKET)
  • Purchase tickets to additional paid conferences, networking events and hospitality sessions (PAID CONFERENCE / FUNCTION SELECTION)
  • Lodge expressions of interest to attend the complimentary conference program (COMPLIMENTARY CONFERENCE SELECTION)

Terms and Conditions

Valid photo ID is required as part of the Avalon 2027 Trade Visitor registration process and must be carried at all times while at the event.

Trade Visitors may be asked for evidence of accreditation such as an applicable business card, Defence ID or association membership card to gain entry to the event. Accreditation must demonstrate a professional, business or operational involvement in defence and related government or industry sectors.

Trade Day tickets are only valid for entry to the Avalon 2027 event site on the day(s) purchased.

No person under the age of 16 years will be admitted to the industry-only trade and conference sessions with the exception of those participating in the Careers Program on Friday 26th February

A dress code applies - applicable business attire or uniform is required

Defence Visitor

By registering as Defence Visitor your details will be given to the Australian Department of Defence prior to arrival and valid Defence ID must be presented on entry to the Avalon 2027 site.

Complimentary conference sessions are free of charge to all accredited defence visitor. Optional paid conference sessions incur an additional charge at the time of registration.

Defence Visitor registration allows you to:

  • Register for/purchase Trade Day tickets (TRADE DAY TICKET)
  • Purchase tickets to additional paid conferences, networking events and hospitality sessions(PAID CONFERENCE / FUNCTION SELECTION)
  • Lodge expressions of interest to attend the complimentary conference program (COMPLIMENTARY CONFERENCE SELECTION)

Defence Visitor are requested to wear military uniform (where applicable) otherwise applicable business attire is required.

Already registered

Avalon 2027 is an industry-only trade event from February 23rd to 12.00pm February 26th, this event is not open to the general public. The public side of the airshow commences 12.00pm Friday February 26th through to Sunday February 28th

The exposition (trade days) and conference sessions are reserved for those with a professional, defence, governmental agency, business, academic, scientific, operational or response involvement in related government or industry sectors

It is optional to upgrade your Exhibitor registration to include both complimentary and/or paid conference sessions (incurs a charge at time of registration).

  • No person under the age of 16 years will be admitted to the industry-only trade and conference sessions with the exception of those participating in the Careers Program on Friday 26 February.
  • A dress code applies - applicable business attire or uniform is required.

Exhibitor Badges are valid for the duration of the event (February 23rd to February 28th), including the designated Move In (February 22nd) and Move Out (February 28th) times.

Avalon 2027 media accreditation is restricted to working media with a confirmed editorial assignment for a recognised media outlet. Applications from enthusiasts, spotters, recreational photographers, personal-interest content creators and uncommissioned freelancers will not be approved.

The Avalon Australian International Airshow 2027 (Avalon 2027) is a six-day event held to be held from 23 – 28 February 2027.

The Trade Days present a series of industry-only, trade and conference sessions reserved for those with a professional, defence, governmental agency, business, academic, scientific, operational or response involvement in aviation, aerospace and defence related government and industry sectors.

Media Accreditation

The allocation and retention of media accreditation is at the absolute discretion of the organisers, who may decline an application even where all accreditation criteria are met and may withdraw accreditation at any time for media conduct organisers consider unprofessional.

All media accreditation applicants are subject to Conditions of Application and the event’s Media Policy.

Accredited media at Avalon 2027 will have access to:

  • The event site and industry exhibition at the advertised visitor open hours
  • Networking events that are categorised as open to all attendees;
  • The media centre;
  • Conferences, as and when allowed by the individual conference convenor.

How Do I Apply For Media Accreditation?

  • Step 1: Fill in your details;
  • Step 2: If you are a freelancer, upload a letter of commission from the publication you will represent at Avalon 2027. Uncommissioned freelancers will not be granted media accreditation;
  • Step 3: Submit your application.

Applications for media accreditation will be assessed by the Avalon 2027 media team according to the Conditions of Application.

  • You will be notified by email on receipt of your submission.
  • You will be notified whether your application has been approved within 10 working days of submission.
  • Successful applicants will receive a Print at Home media badge via email within the two weeks prior to the start of the event.

Avalon Airshow Event Site build will commence in January 2027. There are a number of requirements in order to gain access to the site which are outlined below.

PLEASE NOTE: this registration form is ONLY for those participating at Avalon Airshow in a working capacity to deliver the event i.e. Flying or Ground Displays, Air Base support, Safety, Asset Security etc.

Requirements

1. All participants must complete RSO&I - mandatory
2. All participants must complete this registration - mandatory
3. If you intend to access the ‘construction zone’ you will be required to complete a site induction and have a construction white card. This can be completed here – as required

Dates

  • Pre-February 17th 2025 – Site Induction required
  • Post-February 17th 2025 – Site induction only required if you leave the allocated ADF precinct and require access to ‘construction zone’ (accessed through Gate B only).
  • Monday 17th – Sunday 30th March – Event Bump in and Event Week – full site access, induction only required to enter specified construction ‘areas’ 
  • Monday 31st – April 8th – Site induction only required if you leave the allocated ADF precinct and require access to ‘construction zone’ (accessed through Gate B only).

Site access pass (Airside / Non airside) 

  • ADF site access will have two elements:
    • General site access, and
    • Airside access. 
  • All personnel will get general site access.
  • Do you need “true” airside access? 
    • E.g. aircrew / technician on an active flightline
    • Fire Fighter, Security, Air Movements, ARO, Arrestor Crew

Note: An AMDA airside (event) access pass does not mitigate the need to hold the formal aviation airside access qualifications. 

You have been invited to complete the Avalon 2027 Contractor Accreditation process to gain a Digital Contractor Badge.

To complete this process, you will need to provide the following information:

  • Photographic ID (such as drivers licence, passport)
    • Please note– It must include a photo or it will not be accepted)

IMPORTANT: You will not be permitted into Avalon 2027 Security without a Digital Contractor Badge.
