The Melbourne Design Fair is a new annual showcase to experience the best collectible contemporary design from over 100 established and emerging Australian designers and makers. The Fair will include presentations staged by leading studios, commercial galleries, design organisations, agencies and a spotlight exhibition curated by the National Gallery of Victoria's department of Contemporary Design and Architecture.

An initiative of the NGV, and presented in collaboration with the Melbourne Art Foundation, the Melbourne Design Fair is the first of its kind in Australia, breaking new ground in the presentation, promotion, and sale of collectible contemporary design in the region. It is an opportunity to discover and buy limited edition, rare and one-of-a-kind collectible contemporary design.

A highlight of Melbourne Design Week 2022, the Fair aims to offer a unique cultural experience for public audiences and welcomes design and art collectors, enthusiasts, consultants, interior designers, and specialists across the creative industries to experience an event intended to stimulate long-term interest in the purchase of contemporary collectible design in Melbourne and Australia.

Melbourne Design Fair is part of Melbourne Design Week, an initiative of the Victorian Government.
